A Return to Liberty?

North Dakota is going to vote on abolishing the property tax[1][2].

The founders of the country believed in property rights and the property tax is very counter to this idea. The state is just taxing you for owning something. If you cannot pay the tax, the state will take what they were taxing away from you.

Along the same lines, registering cars, boat, and other vehicles is wrong. Again, you have to pay the state for owning something. You paid taxes when you purchased the object. You pay taxes when you fuel it. And the registration is taxing you for just simply owning it.

After the Supreme Court considered economic eminent domain a valid reason to take someone's property, this could be some tremendous good news for the people.
