Dept. of Education Measures Real-Life Skills Through Simulations?

Today I found this post at the Department of Education:
Can Students Conduct Real-Life Science Experiments?

Sounds good till you find out that students' abilities for "Real-Life Science" will be based off of hands-on and simulations. I do not know what the ratio will be or what the tasks will be. The best ratio I could find was 4 of the hands-on and 9 of the simulations will be available to the public.

I'll try to remember to look for posted information over the next few days to see how "real-life" the tests really were.
