Review of "Bordertown"

Reviewing a new show based on the first episode is not really that fair but sometimes the first episode can be so bad you cannot resist. Bordertown is such a show because of the initial distortion of current political topics.

But let's start with something good to say.

A unique animation style was created for the show and it works. I like it.

However, the writing is horrible. The first episode is dealing with today's mainstream politics and pop culture. The writers don't understand parody and use misrepresentation instead. The core of the episode deals with immigration and how people in a border town want to deport immigrants, not illegal immigrants but immigrants. It made me automatically hate the show by representing people that want laws upheld instead be represented as bigots.

There were some attempts at making fun of liberals but those jokes were bad or disgusting. Paraphrase: "I want you to impregnate me with your baby so I can fight for the right to abort it." Yeah. Abortion is legal in this country and the show takes place in California. She really needs to fight for an abortion.

There were a couple funny jokes, a chuckle worthy side story with a UFO, and a good parody of a mangina that just graduated from college.

Other than that I am crossing my fingers episode two actually had more time for the writers to actually develop some parodies and jokes.

Well, after ten years and spending one billion dollars the government was able to get one, yes one, immigration form online.

The good news is there are only 94 forms to go! Supposedly it will only take about two billion dollars and four more years to get those done.

Dept. of Education Hispanic Fail

Why is the state of education so bad? Because the Department of Education is run by idiots.

They make this painfully obvious in this blog post. Here is the opening paragraph:

Today, nearly one in four students in our nation’s public elementary and secondary schools is Hispanic. Yet, less than one in 10 teachers—or roughly just 8 percent of America’s teaching force—is Hispanic. As the Hispanic population grows, it’s critically important that our teacher workforce reflects our increasingly diverse nation. Hispanic children can benefit by being taught by educators who share their experiences and culture. But it’s also important for all students to learn from teachers who are diverse, dedicated, and passionate.

Let us examine this for a moment. "As the Hispanic population grows" it grows illegally. This has consequences. And the consequence is more students than teachers because:

• There has been an influx of illegal immigrant children only
• Illegals can go to school
• Illegals can not (should not) work in the U.S. because they are supposed to have permits to work
• Illegals tend to be unskilled

Do you want your kid's teacher to be an illegal unskilled immigrant?

There is also the blanket statement that the teaching force needs to reflect the ethnic makeup of the country. This idea of equal outcome instead of equal opportunity is detrimental. If someone wants to be a teacher they will become a teacher. If they don't, they won't. Filling a job needs to be determined by the quality of the worker, not an ethnicity quota.

Then we get that Hispanics benefit from being taught by Hispanics because they share a culture. Then they say any student benefits from teachers that are diverse from them. What is it? Should the teacher share the student's culture or be diverse to benefit the student? Both claims are made.

And a note about culture. We need to promote the American culture and grow based on our common interests more so than our differences. Promoting Americans to hold onto cultures of other countries more so than the American culture is what is dividing the people.

Then there is an accompanying video. At 27 seconds we get "teachers can inspire and impact students regardless of their background." Then at 57 seconds we get "as our nation's Hispanic student population grows there is an increasing need for more teachers who are Hispanic." Once again we get culture doesn't matter and then it does.

These are the people controlling education. They make policies based on pathetic double-think.

Syrian Refugee Petitions

The Middle East is a hot bed of Islamic terrorists and people that chant "Death to America!" Does this sound like a pool of people we want coming to America?

MoveOn.org thinks so.

MoveOn.org has a petition to accept more "refugees" from Syria and elsewhere. This is what the petition states:

There is a refugee crisis happening right now and the U.S. needs to show leadership and kindness by accepting these refugees from Syria and elsewhere. Germany is accepting 800,000 refugees while we are only accepting in the few thousands. We have the wealth to do it, so let's do it!

That last line gets me. We have the wealth? Is MoveOn not aware of our debt, deficiet, and unemployment rate? Do they not know how many people are already on food stamps?

The crazy thing is they almost have the 75,000 signatures needed! But that is MoveOn's threshold.

So let us look at the White House's petition board.

Yup. There is a petition there too, but it needs a total of 100,000 signatures by Sept 30^th and is about 12,000 away from the goal. It calls to resettle 65,000 refugees. This will only get a response from the White House, not legislation.

Could be worse, and it is! This petition wants to let in 140,000 refugees! It has an October 3^rd deadline and is 99,000 signatures away.

This petition wants to allow the refugees to apply for citizenship after 1,000 days instead of 5 years.

Does anyone believe in protecting our interests?

YES!

This petition calls for blocking refugees from Syria and other Gulf states. It only has 365 of the needed 100,000 signatures with a deadline of October 12^th.

Escape from California

It is so depressing when fictional dystopian movies come close to being real life.

So far a majority of driver's licenses issued by California went to illegal aliens. 443,000 of 883,000 licenses by the end of July in 2015 went to illegal aliens.

Maybe we should build a fence around California and change California from a state to a jail or loony bin like "Escape from LA" and "Escape from New York." It is driving out all sorts of businesses due to its tax policies, but is taking in all sorts of illegal aliens. How long till Americans are the minority in California?

Maybe we just kick California out of the union and give it to Mexico. There you go Mexico. Pay for those Californian entitlements.

Best thing might be to strip California of its laws and make it a territory of Texas subject to Texan law. YeeHA!

The Uneven and Irrational Enforcement of Illegal Immigration

At the blog for the Department of Justice there are two postings that got me thinking and a little bit angry. First was a posting about a Peruvian woman and a Bahamian women sentenced to jail time for helping illegal immigrants into the United States. Next was a story about a Brazilian husband and wife team sentenced to jail for helping illegal immigrants into the United States.

Why don't we just kick them out of the country? Oh yeah. Because of the sequester there were illegal aliens let out of holding for deportation because it was too expensive to keep them in custody. At least there is a consistent policy of no deportation here but now aren't we going to pay to house, feed, and guard them, sort of like they were in holding? What about the sequester?

Another thing that bothered me was that the blog postings wrote that these people people were bringing in "undocumented migrants." This is crazy. These "undocumented migrants" were breaking the law and the individuals going to jail were accomplices. Politicians are pandering to forgive illegal immigrants of their trespasses but we are putting their accomplices in jail during the sequester. It's like letting off a murder but a friend that helps bury the body is the one that goes to jail.

Another thing about the Department of Justice using the term "undocumented migrants" that bothers me is it screams like that George Carlin joke: [paraphrased] "if he's legally drunk, what's the f***ing problem?" If they are "undocumented workers" instead of being "illegal aliens" then what is the crime? Even more priceless is both posts in the title use "Alien Smuggling," not "Illegal Alien Smuggling." The Department of Justice is doing everything they can to make the illegal aliens sound innocent by using the adjective "undocumented" in the posts and "smuggling" in the title as if something was being done to them. Yet, read the post and you find out the illegal aliens pay for the services or someone else pays on their behalf. In fact, one of the cases involved the illegal aliens going from Brazil to France to England to the Bahamas to the United States so that it would appear as if they were tourists. These illegal aliens took a freaking vacation through Europe and the Bahamas as a way to break our laws! But we are going to forgive them and throw their travel agents in jail.

April 15^th is coming up and I am going to find a dumb*** accountant and convince him to tell me to take a European slash Caribbean vacation as a write off. He signs the tax forms as the legal preparer and I claim to be the ignorant trodden worker that took his advice. Sweet. I'm the innocent victim.

As if it is not enough that these "undocumented migrants" were "smuggled" by twelve inch bananas, they are taken advantage of and get jobs and earn money. And so what does the government do? Fine and/or jail employers that hire illegal aliens.

Companies or employers/entrepreneurs that hire illegal aliens face fines and/or jail time. Really? Those that will give money for work are bad people/organizations?

It is just a way to blame business for the illegal actions of others. People come here to get jobs and the government is going to punish the employer for hiring someone the government did not stop from entering? The employer should understand better than the government who should be here? The employer should be better at enforcing the law than the government else be expected to be punished for not being more efficient than the government?

This is beyond crazy. The government wants to forgive the law breakers but punish the accomplices. Those that would give pay for work are also punished. So how else should the criminal entrants survive? The government teat?

The fur flying arguments among parties leaves me without knowing the truth. One side says illegals are suckling on government resources. The other side says they are hard working people earning their way because without documentation they can not suckle on the teat. And the government says they will jail or fine those that hire illegals, which leaves illegals without a job.

So what is really going on? I don't know anymore.

Legal immigration needs to be reformed. It is too expensive and complicated. It has caused a problem to want people to forgive the most law breaking part of the problem, those that enter illegally, and yet punish the most humanitarian, those that get them to a better life or give them a job.

This is why the government needs limited powers. It is not evil. It is stupid.

A Reason Why Illegal Immigration Amnesty Is More Costly Than Legal Immigration

Welfare.

We have heard this argument over and over and it is true. I stumbled upon this immigration form that probably only legal immigrants and their sponsors are aware of. It is form I-864. The purpose of the form:

To show that the applying immigrant has enough financial support to live without concern of becoming reliant on U.S. government welfare.

Legal immigrants are not supposed to end up on welfare at all. The sponsor has a financial obligation to the immigrant they are sponsoring. The following is from form I-864 and explains the sponsors obligation:

What Does Signing the Form I-864 Require Me to do?

If an intending immigrant becomes a permanent resident in the United States based on a Form I-864 that you have signed, then, until your obligations under the Form I-864 terminate, you must:

• Provide the intending immigrant any support necessary to maintain him or her at an income that is at least 125 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for his or her household size (100 percent if you are the petitioning sponsor and are on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces and the person is your husband, wife, unmarried child under 21 years old.)
• Notify USCIS of any change in your address, within 30 days of the change, by filing Form I-865.

When the government grants amnesty who is the sponsor? The government. Is welfare 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines? If not, does that mean illegal immigrants have a legal right to more money than a legal citizen on welfare?

It's not an Immigration Problem

The American farmers across this country could lose 5 to 9 billion dollars due to a shortage of farm workers.

About 60% of farm workers are illegal immigrants. Georgia anti-immigration laws ( I believe sourcing article means illegal-immigrant laws, big difference ) scared away many illegal immigrants in 2011. Only 7,000 of the available 12,000 jobs were filled.

There is a 30% to 40% drop in available labor force in California.

Criminals Help Curb the Tide of Illegal Immigrants

One reason for the shortage of farm workers is a shortage of illegal immigrants.

Smugglers are charging more to get people into the US. Drug cartels are forcing those choosing to enter the US illegal to traffic drugs. This is hindering peoples decision to enter the US illegally.

Who would have thought that criminals could get people to not break the law?

Solution?

An overhaul of H-2A federal guest worker program is said to be a good solution. Make it quicker and give it a path citizenship. The path to citizenship for the US is way out of hand and does need to be overhauled. It is way too expensive and complicated.

In the meantime, with unemployment in the US over 8% the solution is not to get more legal or illegal immigrants into the country. We need to get Americans working the fields and orchards. Why won't anyone say this?

Instead of the government wasting money on building fake power lines to hunt birds or giving grants to count birds in Mexico, why doesn't the government spend our tax dollars on PSAs announcing picking seasons? Maybe set up a website identifying who needs workers? Maybe just identify websites that have farm jobs.

Is Obama an American?

This story just will not die. The latest question is "was Obama's birth certificate a purchased fraud?" Why? Because when Hawaii initially became a state there was a market for purchasing bogus birth certificates. It wasn't for political aspirations but to get non-citizen children American benefits.

This is crazy. It does not explain why Obama's publicly released birth certificate is in pieces because there was no PDF technology back when Obama was born. But Obama was born during the fraud timeline, but the appearance of fraud that we got is modern day fraud.

Was the modern day fraud to cloud the historic fraud?
