Punishing Hard Working Kids
A Judge sentenced a 17 year old to jail for truancy. She missed too much school. He wanted to make an example out of her.
All he did was make an example of what a jackass he is.
The charges have been dropped! Read more here!

Obama Admits Green Cannot Succeed On Its Own
On May 24th Obama gave a speech at TPI Composites, a company that makes blades for wind turbines. Obama talked about how companies that help in the production of clean energy need tax credits.
Here is a quote of Obama talking about the need for Congress to pass these tax credits:
If the technology is good, it will succeed without government help.
Some of you will bring up the fact that oil companies get tax breaks. You will complain that they shouldn't get them. And I agree. They don't need it. However, Obama should also stop being combative against oil. It works and is cheap compared to "clean" and "green" energy.
Energy.gov has an additional article about a DuPont plant that opened in Ohio that produces solar panels. One of the workers was asked what he liked about his work. His reply was:
Gag me with a spoon!
Here is a quote of Obama talking about the need for Congress to pass these tax credits:
If Congress doesn’t act, companies like this one will take a hit. Jobs will be lost. That’s not a guess, that’s a fact. We can’t let that happen.Did you catch that? He told the people that their company cannot succeed without help from the government. That's not a surprise. Solyndra went under even when it was given help.

just being a part of a team that really cares and wants to get the job done.Ahhh. It's so tingly! They care. And isn't that the thrust of the clean and green, to care. Screw established cheap efficient energy. That stuff doesn't care, but solar and wind do.

I Still Wonder
Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett has received confirmation from Hawaii about Obama's birth that will allow Obama to run for president in Arizona. It is comforting to know that a state has officially confirmed this, but still ...
Obama's lack of forth coming on anything has been grotesque. Not revealing his school records or birth certificates. And when the birth certificate came out it in no way seems legitimate. And the rumors that he claimed to be Kenyan when applying to school.
And then there is the bio used for years saying he was born in Kenya. Michelle calling Kenya Obama's home country. What is going on?
Is Obama an American pretending to be a Kenyan?
Or is Obama a Kenyan pretending to be an American?

Public watching the Government Food
Do you remember the girl who had her bag lunch taken away and was given a school lunch instead? It was because the government felt her parents did not give her a nutritious enough lunch. They also sent her home with the lunch her parents packed and a bill for the school lunch.
So how good is the school lunch? A Scottish school girl has a blog that rates her school lunches; it is called "Never Seconds." Her blog shows a picture of the meal and she rates the taste, portion size, and number of hairs found in the food.
The first reviewed lunches were embarrassingly bad and her blog has received a lot of attention. Since then the school lunches have been improving.
It would be great to see some American students doing this to see if the government lunch is adequate or not. After all, they are telling us what to eat and banning stuff we like!

It is what it isn't & isn't what it is
A woman sued General Mills over the fact that fruit rollups claim to be made with fruit. General Mills won the case. It seems that if the natural flavoring used is derived from the claimed fruit then it is okay to say it is made with that fruit, even though it does not contain fruit, just flavor.
Makes me think of "Certs made with Retsyn."
I found just the opposite problem in a story at MoonBattery. Brussels bureaucrats told a wine maker the could not call an alcoholic beverage made with grapes from outside of the European Union wine. See the video for this opposing insanity:

Obama Pulls a Palin
Remember how a nut job shot Giffords and several other people in Arizona? Remember how the press tried to blame Palin for the shooting because she used "target symbols" on maps and Giffords district had a target on it?
What if you posted a family photo and put "bull's eyes" on kill shot locations on everyone, even the family dog? Well, Obama's site does just that.
Below is that very image. They want you to put this image on your site since it has an "embed" link associated with it.
Just in case they fix this faux pas, I have a screen capture of the "bull's eyes" below.

You Might be a Kenyan
You might be a Kenyan if ...
- ...your literary bio says you were born in Kenya.
- ...your dad was Kenyan.
- ...your brother lives in a hut in Kenya.
- ...you want to change America.
- ...your birth certificate is several pieces cobbled together.
- ...you attract flies.
Fat Heads Support Fat Tax
I was going to go ahead and rant on this, but I don't really need to.
A story out of Indianapolis cites a study that says a "fat tax" could help curb obesity. Who did the study nor the name of the study is cited, just "a study." Now that's good journalism!
The story uses alcohol and tobacco taxes as a reason to tax fatty foods. The other taxes reduced use of those sin products which theoretically means it could work for fatty foods. A 20% tax is recommended in the article. Not kidding. 20%!
So why am I not going to rant? Go read the article and the comments. You can see all the ranting that needs to be done is in the comments. I don't how the journalist found someone to support this tax, but the readers are pissed!
