The NFL had a call for "Unity" right before they pitted two teams to battle to make one of them the winners and the other the losers.
Okay, okay, okay. I am juxtaposing two different issues as if they are related, but they are not. One is politics and the other is sports. So are we at a political event or a sporting event? Let's put KFC's 11 herbs and spices on a Dunkin' Donut and hail "Unity." Am I being abusurd? Is the NFL?
What happened before the call for "Unity?" The NFL played a National Anthem for Blacks and the original for everyone else. Does this mean that the NFL doesn't recognize Blacks as Americans or the Blacks don't? Regardless, for the first time (I think, correct me if wrong) the NFL segregated the Black players then had a call for "Unity."
After this racist segregation the NFL called for "Unity" and on the JumboTron they put these bullet points[1][2].
- We support equality
- We must end racism
- We believe in justice for all
- We must end police brutality
- We choose unconditional love
- We believe black lives matter
- It takes all of us
If your organization plays segregating anthems, you put into question points 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7. We know the NFL believes in point 6 because blacks curently are 70% of the NFL players and they want to pander to their money-makers. In short, the NFL cares about money.
Does the NFL care about white players? Of course! If you make the NFL money, the NFL cares about you.
So why would you "Boo" at a call for "Unity?"
After the NFL displayed anthem racism, they call out to the public that there is general racism, sorta'. What is a fan supposed to think when they are told to "End racism?" Does the NFL think they are racist? Are they friends with racists? eF'U! I just wanted to watch my team play! I want to forget about my horrible job and the dishes in the sink! Where did this racism come from? I bet Black/[other race] people hate their jobs and doing the dishes too! I wanted to watch a game. Don't lecture me! I'd rather watch "My Little Pony"/"Gilligan's Island" than this crap!
Why was "unconditional love" snuck in there? The LGBTQ+ doesn't riot, I think, or watch sports? And the idea of "unconditional love" is ludicrous when you think of how some of your own blood behaves, which is whom this should be reserved for.
Hey NFL. Do you know what you are there for? Distraction. Entertainment. Not opinion or politics. There this little thing you may have heard of ... the internet. I can get News, politics, and opinions there if I want it. Wait, I think you do know that; in fact, your site has a section just for that; well, I assume that's the only place it is at. I don't care about sports, but I want us all to have a place to escape to without politics or lecturing.
