No consensus yet

Have you seen or heard of the new movie 2016: Obama's America? It is supposed to be a documentary on the man, his influences, and if elected to a second term what America could end up like. It is not flattering.

So what do the critics think? If you check rotten tomatoes only 10 critics have reviewed the movie. How many reviews from the public? Almost 8,000. But the overall rating currently is defined as "no consensus yet."

Creepy Calls for Obama

Have you ever fancied yourself a good candidate to be a telemarketer? Or do you just want to call people at random and freak them out because you know their name ahead of time?

Well, you get all of that with Obama's campaign. If you want to call people for Obama, he has a database at your fingertips for you to access. Log in, dial, and talk.

But I do get it. If you support Obama and you want to support his campaign he will give you some phone numbers to call. The calls are made on your dime, not his.

But here is the real creepy part. Personal information on his supporters is available to the public. Opponents have a chance to misuse this service. Just like how his donations page lacks security and your credit card is vulnerable, these Obama supporters are vulnerable.

Who dreamed up this project? Don't they care enough about their supporters to protect them?

UPDATE

Romney is creepy too!

Obama's Economic Plan For Alaska : Think Small

Gas prices are soaring. The Keystone pipeline from Canada is dead. Alaska is oil rich and Obama supports making more jobs and strengthening the economy in Alaska.

Does this mean Obama supports drilling for more oil? Drilling for what we know is there?

No. He's for strengthening the rural economies. Oil is big business, not rural.

How do you support rural communities? By spending money on them. But spending on what?

According to the Department of Commerce, the Obama administration is investing in fish.
Oil has been stopped due to environmental concerns. It is bad for the fish, birds, and animals. But a rural community that catches, kills, and sells fish in their spawning grounds is okay. It wasn't oil that killed them.

So what sort of investment is being made? It is hard to say. The government blog post has two or three paragraphs of double talk about investing and support. There are two things that are almost a solid contribution that the government is providing.

1) Enhancing the skill of the local work force. I think the government is spending money teaching people how to work in a fish factory. Maybe they built a school? Working in a fish factory must be more complicated than I thought that we need our tax dollars spent on it.

2) Help develop a regional fisheries business cooperative. Sounds like the government is helping to form a union.

Even with these two semi-specific ideas I have no idea what the government has spent our money on. All I know is that our money is spread in a rural area. Is it going to artificially inflate the area through building unnecessary buildings for unnecessary schooling or conference centers? Is it just going down the tubes in training sessions that normally happens on the job? Spent to fund meetings of several companies to discuss fish?

Instead of the government taking our money and distributing it here and there around the country trying to prop up different industries, let us keep our money and buy products. Let the companies earn the money. If they get money without earning it there is no need to move the company in the right direction. No company needs to move in the right direction if it will get propped up by the government.

Even worse, by redistributing our money to such small sectors of the economy, how many more government workers will be needed to expand this practice? You know they want to.

We will get a big government to prop up small business.

The Go Back Team

Me Me Me Me Me! NO! You You You You You!

We know Obama can not run on his record, but this is ridiculous. Obama, the man that seems to be all me, me, me, me, me is not talking about himself on his own YouTube channel. There are seven videos about Obama but ten about Romney and Ryan. Instead of talking about what he has done he wants to tell you what he thinks Romney will do.

If all we do is talk about Romney then through just sheer name recognition I think Romney will win!

Stimulus Money Used To Destroy Historic Site

I found this image and caption at energy.gov as the image of the week.

A worker suppresses dust during the final demolition stages of the historic DP West site, located at Los Alamos National Laboratory’s (LANL) Technical Area 21. The demolition was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and is part of $212 million in ARRA funds the Lab received for environmental remediation. | Photo courtesy of Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Wow. Where do you go with something like this? I mean this is just pure lunacy. This will stimulate the economy?

Also, before you get riled up thinking this is a conspiracy to erase our nuclear history, this practise of demolishing these building has been going on for a while. The history is being preserved. See the "Bradbury Science Museum" and this document on TA-21 from 2004 about the demolition of buildings.

The main page about the cleanup is [here]. What is puzzling is why a photo from this effort was chosen as a picture of the week. The last building from TA-21 was demolished in December 2010. On September 14, 2011 the last scoop of waste was excavated from Material Disposal Area B. The spending chart stops at a point over a year ago.
Is the Department of Energy behind the ball or is Los Alamos failing to update its web page?

That's all lunatic dressing. The point is that stimulus money was being spent on activities that Los Alamos was already doing. Not to mention these are historic sites and it just sounds bad that stimulus money was used to demolish historic sites. In addition, this is a government site. The government spent money on the government to stimulate the economy. The project claims to have created 450 jobs, but since it looks like the job is over hasn't the project now lost 450 jobs? Demolition is not a sustainable job market.

Anyways, doesn't it look like the worker is taking a monstrous wizz producing a piss rainbow over the remains of the site that developed weapons that helped us to win "the Cold War?" Is there a subliminal message here about America's nuclear programs?
